IESL Rajarata Chapter Celebrates Grand Opening of New Building

In a historic moment for the engineering community, the IESL Rajarata Chapter has officially opened its very first chapter building, marking a significant milestone in the organization's growth. This landmark achievement was made possible with funding from the IESL Headquarters, reinforcing the institute’s commitment to supporting its regional chapters and furthering the development of the engineering profession across Sri Lanka.
The grand opening ceremony was a proud occasion for all involved, with special thanks to Eng. Lalani Wijesekara, Chair of the Phase-2 Construction Committee, whose leadership played a crucial role in bringing this project to life. Additionally, Eng. Sudath Rathnayake, Chairman of the IESL Rajarata Chapter for the 2023/24 session, was instrumental in overseeing the completion of the building, ensuring that it stands as a symbol of excellence for the chapter
This new building represents not only a physical space for the Rajarata Chapter but also a hub for the exchange of ideas, networking, and the continued development of engineering professionals in the region. It is expected to serve as a cornerstone for various activities and initiatives aimed at enhancing the profession and contributing to the growth of the engineering community in Sri Lanka.
